<p>As an AI Engineer at gocomo, you take ownership of the AI systems behind alfred—our enterprise SaaS product for social media analytics. alfred processes thousands of user requests per month through a conversational AI interface and analyzes more than 750,000 pieces of content across various platforms.</p>

<p>In a small, interdisciplinary team (5–10 people), you serve as the primary point of contact for all AI-related topics. You work closely with frontend, data, and infrastructure teams to develop features that directly address the needs of our customers.</p>

<h2>Your mission</h2>

<ul>

<li>Develop and operate production-ready RAG agents (FastAPI) to handle customer requests, including routing to specialized sub-agents (Text2SQL, API integrations, vector search over social media data).</li>

<li>Design, implement, and scale a multimodal data-enrichment service for automated categorization and annotation of social media content (LLMs, computer vision, audio transcription).</li>

<li>Build and continuously improve the Alfred Hub as a customer-oriented platform for AI-powered workflows—especially to combine data retrieval and annotation.</li>

<li>Contribute to architecture decisions across retrieval, routing, evaluation, and deployment, and help define the company’s technical AI strategy.</li>

<li>Advance our AI products: translate requirements into development, deploy, monitor, and continuously optimize based on user feedback.</li>

<li>Provide subject-matter leadership for a junior AI engineer, including technical guidance, code reviews, and support for individual growth.</li>

<h2>Your profile</h2>

<ul>

<li>You have proven experience in building and operating RAG systems or AI agents in production (beyond prototypes).</li>

<li>You have excellent Python skills and practical experience with FastAPI.</li>

<li>You are highly familiar with common LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), especially in prompt engineering, function calling, and handling cost and latency optimization.</li>

<li>You are comfortable owning the entire stack of an AI system—from data pipelines through model integration and API design to deployment and observability.</li>

<li>You have fluent German (C2 level) and very good English skills.</li>

<li>Ideally, you also bring experience with multimodal AI systems (e.g., computer vision), modern AI frameworks and tools from our stack, and in social media analytics. Experience working in dynamic, fast-growing teams is a plus.</li>
